Dr. Miguel A. Salazar serves patients in the Los Angeles office of the Adventist Healthcare Pacific Rim Cardiac. He has an extensive background in treating a variety of heart arrhythmias, as well as specialized training that makes him a wonderful resource for our patients.
Dr. Salazar graduated from the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine, after which he completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Irvine Medical Center. He then went on to train in electrophysiology at the University of Southern California. He also completed an additional year of electrophysiology fellowship as an advanced fellow at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
He then remained at William Beaumont Hospital, where he expanded the persistent atrial fibrillation program and championed CFAE ablation for patients from around the state of Michigan. He also served as an associate professor of medicine and as the director of the lead management program at the hospital.
Dr. Salazar is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and electrophysiology. He is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography. He has presented at major conferences and published his research in leading journals.
At Adventist Healthcare Pacific Rim Cardiac, his knowledge and experience are invaluable in treating our Los Angeles patients suffering from persistent atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and complex supraventricular tachycardia ablations, as well as lead management and extractions.
